Flower Power Inspiration

This month over at the Cuttlebug Blog the theme is FLOWER POWER! I love this... you can create basically anything with flowers! Here is my project for this week....

I love love love how this turned out! My BFF had her baby on April first... and traditionally you get flowers for the mom... well here are her flowers! Click on pics to see the patterns on the flowers.
Recipe:
I used my Cricut Design Studio to cut all the flowers so I could see how big they were... therefore I really don't know the actual sizes... (sorry) I will guess that the big daisy is 6x6 and sunflower close to that.

Cricut Carts used: Walk in my garden (all flowers), Hello Kitty Font and Alphalicious (its a boy)

Cuttlebug Embossing Folders used: Argyle (lg daisy), Swiss Dots (center sunflower), D'vine Swirl (sm daisy), Spots and Dots (little red flowers), Textile (little yellow flowers)

Paper: basic bazzill card stock: yellow, blue, green, brown, purple: Bazzill Bling: red

Ribbon: Offray: yellow, green, blue....technique.... I wrapped the ribbon around wooden dowls... sprayed them with spray starch... and put them in the oven on 200 degrees for approx. 15 min... Voila! Curly q's... however... they were not "stiff" so I had to use floral wire (spiraled the same as the ribbon) and glue the ribbon on the wire...

I used an old vase I had at home and bought some decorative accents gems to put in the vase. I glued all the flowers and stems to "kabob" sticks I had in the pantry left over from last years bbq season.
